About Us

History Of The School

The MT Training Center was established as a partnership in Grand Prairie, TX, on September 4, 2001. Our inaugural class began their coursework study in October of 2001, with graduation ceremonies taking place in January of 2002. We offer a variety of CDL programs including truck driving school, CDL training and welding classes!

Mission of The Institution

The MT Training Center is committed to assisting students with little or no background in their chosen field and providing the requisite training necessary for them to achieve, at a minimum, an entry-level position in their profession. At the same time, we strive to refine the skills of students who possess a more advanced knowledge allowing those individuals to advance and excel in their preferred career. Whether that means becoming a truck driver, going through a CDL education or welding education to get a welding certification for the welding trade we have the vocational courses for you!

The school provides learning opportunities and job placement assistance through vocational courses by utilizing the following:

  • Qualified instructors and staff
  • Skills CDL training for the workplace through traditional delivery methods
  • Quality student services, administrative support and educational facilities that are equipped with industry standard technologies.
  • Access to adult literacy training
  • Lifelong learning through contributions to the educational culture of the communities we serve

We strive to be the industry leader in adult vocational education by enhancing the lives of our students through education, job placement, and a caring commitment to excellence.

Facility

The MT Training Center is housed in office facilities in south Grand Prairie, TX. The 10,500 square foot facility is equipped with lecture rooms for trucking classes, media services/computer room, CDL training area, Computerized Numerical Control laboratory, Combination Welding laboratory, and break room complete with a full kitchen for student use. On-site parking with adequate lighting is available for all students, staff, and instructors.

Equipment

Students attending the MT Training Center will be instructed using a variety of equipment and technologies. Windows based operating systems and software are utilized on all computers. Classroom lectures are enhanced with overhead projections, audiovisuals and anatomical models.

The following holidays are observed by the MT Training Center. Classes will not be held on these days:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Christmas Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Independence Day (July 4th)
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Additional holidays may be declared by the Chief Administrative officer
