Getting Started
Financial Aid Philosophy: A successful financial aid package is a cooperative
effort between the student and the institution that not only meets the
student’s educational needs but also fosters an environment from
which the student can effectively manage any debt that may be incurred
during the course of their education.
Applying for Financial Aid:
Completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the
first step in the process. All students are encouraged to apply despite
their current financial status.
Application Process
1) Complete FAFSA. The FAFSA can be found here:
https://fafsa.ed.gov/. MT Training Center School Code is: 042264
.
2) After your Student Aid Report (SAR) becomes available, please review
it for accuracy and any further instructions.
3) An MT Training Center’s financial aid representative will contact
you as your Student Aid Report is received by the school to set up a personal
financial aid consultation. Financial Aid Awards will be estimated at
the time of consultation.
4) Accept your Financial Aid Award.
Each student will have a personal consultation in the Financial Aid Office.
The consultation will also identify other supporting documents necessary
to determine financial assistance eligibility. During this consultation
process the Financial Aid Officer will assist the student in completing
all the forms necessary to apply for and receive financial assistance.
Note: It is the student’s responsibility to provide the requested
documents in a timely manner to determine and verify eligibility.
