Satisfactory Academic Progress

Financial Aid Philosophy: A successful financial aid package is a cooperative effort between the student and the institution that not only meets the student’s educational needs but also fosters an environment from which the student can effectively manage any debt that may be incurred during the course of their education.

Each student must make Satisfactory Academic Progress toward completing his/her program of study, regardless of the student’s course load or whether or not the student receives financial aid. MT Training Center evaluates each student’s progress on the following standards:

  • Minimum grade point average which is 2.0 (70%).
  • Minimum clock hour completion rate which is 80% total clock hours in program.
  • Pace of completion – students must complete their programs within the timeframe specified in the enrollment agreement.

These standards are applied to all MT Training Center’s students. If a student meets these standards, he/she will be considered making Satisfactory Academic Progress.

If a student does not meet these standards during any evaluation point, he/she will be considered not making Satisfactory Academic Progress and will potentially be placed on Academic and Financial Aid Probation. If the student is placed on probation, the student may be in danger of losing his/her financial aid.
